I have a new Windows 10 computer and an old v2 DVD of TOPO U.S. 24K Southwest. (I also have a GPSMap 62s on which some or all of this DVD is loaded, but it's currently in another state so inaccessible.) What is involved in getting the old installer (last used under Windows 7) to run under Windows 10 so I can install all or part of these 24K maps onto my PC for use in BaseCamp?
I found one very old post at https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mac-windows-software/f/basecamp-windows/126647/can-t-install-topo-us-24k-southwest-v3-maps-on-gpsmap-60csx suggesting that I can accomplish this "by having Windows fix compatibility issues with the software." Does anyone know if this works? Are there any other tricks that I will need?
