Nope, and never seen any one have the problem. When you say they don't work what are you doing to try to use them?
Trying to add a simple route in Basecamp. Then download to my Zumo. I have done hundreds over time. Now the "new route" icon has no response. It is grouped with new waypoint and new track. They don't work either.. Thought I would ask before deleting and reinstalling Basecamp. They still work on my laptop. So it is something with my desktop. Some setting or corrupt file?
I deleted and reinstalled Basecamp and still have the same problem. Can not add a new route!
Do you have a destination list/folder or My Collection selected in the top left pane? Try choosing different folders/lists. The only time those tools should be grayed out is when BaseCamp can't write to or find the storage location..
They are not greyed out, they just don't respond. No folder works.
At times I have gotten a download from Garmin that was either corrupted or "beta" version for lack of a better term. Try removing and reinstalling with a fresh download of the installation program.
If that fails, I would contact Garmin Support by phone and have them walk you through a complete uninstall of their applications.

I would recommend the phone option.
There is a user.config in a sub-folder of c: Users > "username" > AppData > Local > Garmin_Corp >> that might be responsible if it is corrupted and doesn't get removed during the uninstall.
