Have been trying to load gpx routes onto my Drive51. Have figured out that I need to convert the tracks into routes which I did then I go to send to the 51 which it seems to do. I unplug the gps from the computer go to look for the files and can't find them, then when I go to turn off the gps I get a message saying Cannot save the "title of the route" and I need to click okay. Any ideas on how to do it or what I may be doing wrong? Do I need to load them onto a mini sd card instead? I have plenty of space or at least it says I have 4gb left. Thanks
These tracks can be followed from the southern New York border to the northern Tennessee border over roads of various categories that appear in the Delorme Topo maps. The user would need to check whether the roads are mapped and routable in either current Garmin City Navigator maps or in compatible Open Source maps. If the user wants to try to use Nuvi/Drive road routing to meticulously follow these tracks, it will take a little time and effort to enter shape points at the appropriate spots along the way, but it should be doable at the rate of maybe 60 miles per 29 point route. Keep in mind that in case of a breakdown the Drive 51 may only have a 30 minute battery life if disconnected from the power source in standalone mode.
