I just purchased a Lenovo Yoga 900 2 in 1 laptop. Basecamp 4.5.2 installed and ran initially, but when Win 10 updated the last time, Basecamp tries to start but quickly quits with no error message. A small window appears, but fades away too quickly to read. Basecamp runs fine on my Win 10 HP desktop. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Basecamp 4.5.2 with no success.
I did go thru #3 as well. My graphics are intel so it isn't switchable. I double checked and found that media player was there, but awaiting user choices to complete set up. I now get different errors reported: It says The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. see below Event Viewer shows one Information and two error posts.

Why is the Framework in your error message called out as 4.0.30319? Shouldn't it be 4.6.01. Perhaps uninstalling and reinstalling .NET 4.6.xx might help???
IF media player is installed and running, and ditto for the latest framework, and you have a Lenovo, and nothing else posted so far seems to solve the issue, I suggest you pm the developer, as suggested here.
For everyone's information, I spent 6 hours on line with Lenovo Enhanced Support today. They were only able to make the problem worse by uninstalling too much to where BaseCamp would not even install. Then they had me refresh windows which, of course, deleted all my applications. I installed Garmin Express and attached my 2757 GPS to download the latest map again. This process also installs MapInstall and BaseCamp. It installed the 2D version of BaseCamp and it runs!
Thanks to all of you for the help, even though I stumbled into a solution.
Lenovo was no help at all during 6 hours online with them today. They finally did a repair/install of windows which deleted all my apps. Then they told me they couldn't help and to contact Garmin. When I was reinstalling my maps, Garmin Express also downloads and installs MapInstall and BaseCamp. It choose to install the 2D version and to my surprise, it works.
As far as I know there isn't a 2D version of BaseCamp, but BaseCamp can work in 2 or 3D mode. Glad it's working though, sounds like the reinstall of Windows fixed something.
Anyone have idea's which laptops with win 10 Base Camp will install on ? I'm looking at ones that have the AMD A10 processor with 8 gig of ram and maybe SSD for the hard drive.
