Routing is basecamp 4.2.1 is just a straight line between wayponts?

Could it be the route you are trying to create is taking you off your maps routing information. Garmin stores route information on their maps.

I am routing within the borders of the country if that is what you mean ? and -- BC used to calculate routes before the upgrade without adding, changing or in any way updating the map. Thanks for the head's up!

Does seem strange ... Working with one route and yet not another with apparently same map.

Thanks to all: I have downloaded the 4.2.2 and the routing is working again for me, at least the first few times I tried this between the same waypoints and on the same map!
