M1 Mac mini ( Sonoma 14.5) cannot see GPSMAP 67

I have connected the device to one of the ports on the Mac mini (eg not via a hub) and tried multiple cables. Basecamp cannot see the device. Any ideas?

It's remarkable to spend a LOT of money on a new device and discover that the software support is truly awful. Do Garmin WANT their customers to hate them?

Not sure what you mean by softward support is awful just because you cannot connect your device to BaseCamp as that has nothing to do with software support. Have you tried calling Garmin Product Support for help? Note that you may have issues if Garmin Express is running at the same time so check Express isn't running.
