Garmin please compile Basecamp for Apple M1 silicon

My Garmin DriveSmart 55 is not recognized by Garmin Express and BaseCamp on Monterey 12.6.3. When will it work?

Contact Customer Support at Garmin re the issue - the more of us who contact them the more pressure is added to try and get them to sort the issues out on Mac computers.

Add me to the list.  I've grown to be very fond of Basecamp.  There's nothing else really like it, please continue to support it.

That's what I use, its online so can be accessed by any computer etc.,  try it and see what you think - I liked Basecamp but Garmin stopped updating it some years ago and now it is just about still working!

So what do you do if you can not get a connection? That is the beauty of BaseCamp, no internet connection is needed. Much / most of my outdoor activity is in locations where there is no cellphone / internet coverage, my tech "savy" friends are totally lost because google maps is not working on their phones. It is hard to believe that Garmin is letting such a powerful and unique application die. As bad as BaseCamp is (it truly is a poorly implemented application that has been long out of date), it is still the best game in town. There are several less powerful options. If would be a shame to have to downgrade to one of them. At that point it would make sense to completely abandon Garmin hardware.
