Runs extremely slow in Big Sur

Basecamp worked fine before I switched to the Big Sur Beta.

Now it runs extremely slow and I get the beach ball every time I click anything.

I have found a solution for me, MacBook Pro Late 2013: Select Menu "View" > "Show 3D Maps only" (translated from the German version, maybe the English version says something different). Then BaseCamp runs…

Exactly. Well said. The fact that Garmin is dead silent on this means they were probably thinking it would just work without having to touch a thing.. Not a good sign.

See "3D solution" below. HOWEVER, please Garmin, do not consider this a valid long time workaround. 3D works but I hate it. Poor graphics and it is a nuisance to compare what I see in BC and what I see…

Also in Big Sur Beta 6 Garmin Basecamp 4.8.9 is not working. Every 4-5 seconds the "ball" is turning, indicating that something is going on. Not possible to use the program!

Impossible to use. Garmin has been as slow as their software to force un update on the new OS X that will be officially released anytime now. Garmin... any timeframe here?

Don't expect Garmin to release an update based on betas, why would they? When there is an official release you then may expect an update
