Spotify CIQ App not working correctly

  • Spotify won't sync anymore since yesterday. Stops with Sync Failed message. Tried to reinstall, didn't fix the issue, Fenix 5s plus. Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Powerbeats. On home WiFi network and running latest firmware and latest Spotify update.

Downloaded mp3s directly to the watch from my pc instead of using Spotify. That works. I have now deleted Spotify and may check back in a few weeks when this is solved.

I have the vivoactive 3 music. Spotify no longer shows up on my watch even though the app is downloaded.

I have the vivoactive 4s and an Android phone. Spotify says it's connected, but will not download or sync my playlists. Also a main reason I selected this watch. Will return if not resolved. Please let us know how to fix.

Ever time I try to link my Spotify to my Viviactive 4s, I keep getting a loop— meaning the Connect app tells me when I sync my watch Spotify will be there. It isn’t.

    I have Premium Spotify.

    I use a private WiFi.

    1. When will this issue be resolved? I purchased this watch SPECIFICALLY because it offered Spotify. Now I have an expensive watch that doesn’t do what I bought it for....

I also chose Venu for Spotify. Just had it 2 days ago and I spent my weekend figuring out how to get the app sync. It shows 0% then syncing failed.

I have bought a new Viviactive 4s - the connect app says Spotify is connected but nothing is coming up on my watch. It just says no music, no Spotify logo, nothing. I’ve tried connecting and disconnecting several times, nothing happening!

I have also downloaded the songs to the watch storage instead because I am really itching to not bring my phone during my runs (the main reason why I bought Venu!)

  • If you are seeing this specific error message, we would recommend removing this wifi network from your device and adding it again as if it were new. If this is unsuccessful, trying another network would be beneficial to see if this resolves the issue. We have seen similar reports from users who are on public wifi networks, even if they have the correct credentials, but this may not be the case for you.
