export issue

Hi I tried to export a video to a file (1080) and then to youtube using the export feature. Once it reached 100%, I got a similar error message in both cases:
- During export to file:
"There was an error exporting the video"

- During export to youtube:
"Error exporting video for youtube upload"

An idea on how to solve this?

Tks

Soon I hope. I pushed it out to the installer and QA guys. If all goes well, it should be available within a week.

somewhere FALAGAR said that 2.2.4 wasn't going to make it due to some issues, so for us they skipped 2.2.4
  • Just seen that FW 3.1 is out, Virb Edit just notified me, just installed it so lets hope it fixes the Export issue I have after V3.0

Where are the tech notes on it so we can see the changes in 3.10
  • today i installed 2.2.5, it was a mistake, export to youtube stil fails @2%, exporting to file still fails @1080p and none of the exports i managed to make with lower resolutions, didn't have music on them, allthou music was working fine in the editor..

now re-installed 2.2.3 and trying with the music @720p, because 1080 and 960 fails to export..

these export issues are a BIG downer, because the gauges and other cool stuff can be edited only in virbedit..

    ---

one thing that you should do allso, is that the .GPX files were named the same as the video-clip, because adding gps-tracks afterwards is a mess because of the different names..

    ---

edit: ok, the music issue was with the song, it was downloaded from youtube, (free mp3 for your videos), now i tried with other music, works..

updated back to 2.2.5, export still fails to YouTube and to file @1080p, 960 and lower works..

    ---

edit2: some fadeouts and fadeins for the beginning and to the end of the video should be enabled too to the editor.. and the same to the music.. allso text, blackvideo, etc..

Before uploading, VIRB Edit first exports the video to a temporary file.
So if export fails, upload will fail too.

    Video speeded up after export

I tried to see if clip-audio was exported in 2.2.5 (it wasn't) when I noticed the seconds passing by very fast.
Did I do something wrong or is there something wrong in VIRB-Edit?
    Did someone noticed the same?
Input and output are 1280x720/25fps, input is 5min, output is 2min, 6sec.
    The setting of the clip:

Hi, I am sorry to hear you are still having trouble with export and I apologize for the trouble.

So export works as long as you pick something smaller than 1080p? What kind of computer, OS and graphics card do you have?

Fade-in and fade-out is on the list for a later feature release.

Hmm, can you reproduce this with a smaller video and could you share the original MP4 file? That sounds like something we should be able to reproduce here.
