export issue

Hi I tried to export a video to a file (1080) and then to youtube using the export feature. Once it reached 100%, I got a similar error message in both cases:
- During export to file:
"There was an error exporting the video"

- During export to youtube:
"Error exporting video for youtube upload"

An idea on how to solve this?

Tks

You'll only have to download it within 7 days, otherwise Wikisend will delete it.
After that I can upload it again and you'll have another 7 days. :)

also tried it with a 30fps clip from PowerDirector Pro 11.0 => original 59s comes out as 30s.
changed the video to 1920x1080 30fps => original 59s comes out as 30s.
tried it with a 8s 1920x1080 from a VIRB Elite, that came out OK

I did the export on my laptop, still using VIRB Edit 2.2.3, the 59s clip stays 59s.
Probably something went wrong when correcting the 30fps/60fps speed for the VIRB files.

BTW 2.2.5 says the 59s clips are 59s athough they come out as 30s
  • Today, i can't export a damn thing, really frustrated with this..

I tried all the options, nothing happens.. just error, error, error..

i tried to install the earlier versions of VIRBEdit, same s#it..

was there a known issue about the video length, my edit is 7:11min, is it too long or what?

    oh yeah, my system is:
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz
    Memory DDR3 8 GBytes
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M 1Gbyte

7 min is not too long, someone made a 2h movie with VIRB Edit, I've made clips of about 15min without problem.
Now you've given your system information, probably FALAGAR will have one of his guys have a look at it.
  • Just adding my info to this thread as I cannot export video either. Pretty bummed. I have both the VIRB and VIRB Elite. It was working with some short individual clips but then I put together a bunch of clips into a 20 minute video, some of which are split or trimmed down. I added a couple GPS tracks for the VIRB standard video clips (pulled from the Elite) and then added some background music. When I try to export it fails at 0% stating There was an error exporting the video. I have rebooted and tried this again with nothing else running but that makes no difference. Tried running as Admin, no difference.

    My computer details:

    Windows 8.1 (fully patched, x64)
    VIRB Edit v2.2.5.0
    Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.4 GHz
    16GB RAM
    AMD Radeon HD 7700, 1024GB
    AMD Radeon HD 5700, 1024GB
    System Drive, 120GB SSD
Data Drive, 180GB SSD (Export Location)
Video Drive, 500GB USB3 (Video Clips located here)
    VIRB & VIRB Elite Cameras

Can you try a very short video (like 10 seconds) and see if that works?

We have an issue with VIRB Edit running out of memory at export and will have a fix for that shortly.

That doesn't mean that everything will just magically work, but it should increase export success rate dramatically.

I apologize for all the trouble. We are working hard to resolve this, but it's a tricky beast.
