I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 i5 8GB system with an Intel 520 graphics module, which used to be OK for working with VIRB Edit. It is now virtually impossible to edit with the software. I can manipulate the clips, add titles, and trim clips. It will export the finished video at a 'reasonable' speed. I don't have great expectations of the speed, but it is fine. But ...
If I try to play the video that I have edited it staggers very badly and is really, really hard to stop and get control back. It used to be quite OK, but now, because of this big issue, it is almost unusable. Something changed - I don't know when ...
Looking at the recommended specs I can see my system hasn't got everything recommended, but it is not bad, and it works pretty well (still) with Adobe Premier Elements.
I am running the latest 5.3.1 release and my system is fully up to date.
Is there anything I can do to get control back more reliably? Could it be anything to do with the change to the 64 bit version? Am I alone?
