Thanks for this notification - please note that the audio static issue when exporting that was previously resolved in VIRB Edit 4.2.3 was re-introduced in 5.1.0. There is a thread documenting this in the VIRB Edit forum.

    Thanks,
    Rich
  • Metrics not working

Looks like metrics for a clip are only displayed at the start of the clip, then frozen for remainder of the clip.

    same issue, sucks

g-metrix data doesn't properly sync up coming from VIRB elite. Either a single data point or none at all is displayed.

    fix it.

or at least make the old version available so i can edit videos. ffs.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I'm sorry you're experiencing issues with g-metrix data not sync'ing up. We're looking in to resolving this issue as soon as possible. I appreciate your patience!
  • Along with the gmetrix problem stated above, I am now getting some weird static lines in my videos. The static also shows up during the preview as well. I have checked the source video files pulled from virb and they look fine. Seems like anything that is encoded now has the static, including previews.
  • Version 5.1.0. does not work with Virb Elite

Version 5.1.0. does not work with Virb Elite. I am not able to synchronize G-Metrix properly, time and date gauges stay still, not showing elapsing time.
My previous overlays do also not show properly, landing somewhere beside the screen.
Will You fix it, or should I go back to 4.2.3. ?

Would you please help confirm that your machine meets the minimum specs for 5.1.0 and that your video card driver is up to date? If these conditions are met and you're still experiencing this issue then additional information to investigate this issue would be helpful: machine specs, OS, RAM, video card, video card memory, encoder/decoder selection, target resolution/fps/quality, camera and SW version, video information such as quality and fps setting, etc. Thanks!

    Minimum System Requirements
Operating System (PC): Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit) + Platform Update
Processor: 2.5GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 or AMD FX
    Memory (RAM): 8 GB
Graphics Card: Intel HD 5000 / nVidia GeForce GT 630 / AMD Radeon 8570
    Graphics Memory (RAM): 2 GB
    Display Resolution: 1920 x 1080
    Storage: 20 GB Free Space

Thanks for the reply. I made sure my graphics drivers were updated and the static still remains. Everything was working fine with 4.2.3. Is there a minimum requirement difference between 4.2.3 and 5.1? I have rolled back to 4.2.3 because of all of the issues with 5.1. It's disheartening when we get a post from Garmin employee hyping the new version of virb edit not too long ago, then when it's released there aren't any updates or fixes to anything but 360 video and the new version has this many issues. Was really hoping for optimization of multi-cam. Below are my system specs:

    OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home 10.0.14393 N/A Build 14393
    Processor: Intel i7-3770K 3.5GHz
    RAM: 8GB
    Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 5850
    Graphics Memory: 1GB
    Display: 1920 x 1080
    Storage: 4TB

Version 5.1.0. does not work with Virb Elite. I am not able to synchronize G-Metrix properly, time and date gauges stay still, not showing elapsing time. Have tried to import g-metric data from edge 1000, but same problem remains! Please fix ASAP.
