Is there any workaround we can try based on your knowledge of the fix so we can get unblocked? Any ETA for the next release?

I just saw that 5.1.3 came out. It stated it resolved the audio related crashes. Uninstalled 5.1.2 and installed 5.1.3. Still crashing. Crash occurs when I try to play any video with the exception "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in VirbEdit.exe [15480]"

When I break into using Visual Studio 2015 I get the following "Unhandled exception at 0x770F53FB (ucrtbase.dll) in VirbEdit.exe: Fatal program exit requested." Stack trace:

I hoped for the best and switch from Encoder/Decoder to Media Foundation. Still crashes, not the crash looks like this:

It seems my fix did not help as many people as I had hoped...
@myrahm06 Under the Debug menu in Visual studio 2015 is a "Save Dump As..." button. Save it without heap info or the file will be huge. Then send me the dmp file. This will be extremely helpful in tracking down the problem

the good thing for me it does not crash. but the bad thing is i hear a pop of sound when i start the playback. but i don't hear any sound at that moment,

only thing i tested at this moment and not loaded the video in on the correct way included the video optimalisation so when that fix the sound issue don't know
    but we will see
