  • Added support for adding photos to videos
  • Added photo sharing
  • Added 'bookmark' camera icons in the video editing timeline for photos taken on VIRB X/XE cameras while a video clip was recording

  • Fixed compass 'bearing' gauges spinning while stopped
  • Fixed various G-Metrix alignment issues
  • Fixed various gauge data display issues

For a more in-depth overview of the changes in this version (with pictures!), see FALAGAR's post here.
  • jamesb2 this is a known bug. Thanks for telling us what a problem it is for you; we hadn't considered just how difficult it'd make syncing. I'll make this issue a higher priority, especially for the syncing case you mentioned.
  • Map bug on Mac while performing manual GPS Sync

UPDATE: I have deleted this post as it looks like the arrows are working, and I am not having an issue today. However I noticed in the Windows forum that there apparently used to be a way to move the red dot around by clicking on the map in earlier versions of Virb Edit - by clicking on a point on the trail - and this would be great if reinstated. Thanks.
  • When it's paused (while editing) you can move forward a frame at a time with the arrows next to the play button, on the old one I could hold the buttons and move through the movie frame, by frame. However, now I have to click it for each frame.

And being able to import from the VIRB, and edit videos (obviously ones that are already imported) would make my life a million times easier.

Thanks for prompting me to take another look at the "GPS Sync" page. I tried the arrows again with a different file and they seemed to work. Can´t replicate the above arrows "bug" so it looks like the arrows are working. Will post again if they are not. Clicking on the map, however, still does not work.
  • jamesb2 VIRB Edit 3.1 will add back support for dragging and dropping the red marker to change the displayed movie time.
  • Is it still possible to download VIRB EDIT for Mac 3.0.1?? I'm currently running 2.9.2 however I can't run 3.1.0 on my Mac...was hoping to get a more up-to-date version.

    Thanks!
