VIRB edit keeps crashing - not sure what to do?

I tried to post the code, but there is a word limit of 10,000 and it said the code was something 53,000 words. Not sure where to start. I have rebooted, I have reloaded, I have re-downloaded, I have deleted and downloaded and re-loaded and rebooted....where to go from here?
• where did you find the folder/Users/xxxx/Library/Application Support/Garmin VIRB Edit/Database/0/RawMovies/
i dont know how to find it?? i have the same issue :(

See here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH18928?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
"The Library folder is hidden. If you need to open it for some reason, click the desktop to make sure you’re in the Finder, hold down the Option key, then choose Go > Library."
• To clarify, is there a specific folder in that RawMovies database that you deleted to make VIRB Edit start up again? Zipping up one of those and sending it to [email protected] would go a long way toward fixing this issue. Knowing whether or not this happens repeatedly for the same imported movie would be a big deal for us, too.

IFANHO I've got no guarantee that this will work, but zipping up your entire 0/RawMovies/ folder (right click > compress ) and e-mailing that .zip to us could help us track it down and solve your issue, as well.

Any further info you guys can give us on this would be much appreciated. We're eager to fix this issue but don't know quite enough at the moment.

I reproduced the problem by importing a video from an external source, no matter I select "Import Only" or "Copy Clips", it still crash. The newly added folder under "RawMovies" was zipped and emailed to you for your review. However, a few of my files can be added without problem.

Hope the problem can be solved soon.

Assuming there is no reply on here from the developer / Garmin - what other options are available ? Pretty shabby response really!

Try open the MP4 with QuickTime and then use it to save once, the import crash will totally disappeared! Really strange!

We narrowed down the issue to imported movies that don't have a creation date saved in their metadata, so it makes sense that saving it again in QuickTime fixes the problem. This is something that will likely only occur when importing videos that weren't created by a VIRB. Naturally we don't want to crash for that case, so we've fixed the issue.

We have the fix version 2.9.2 waiting for review by Apple and our internal installer group currently; it should be out some time this week.
• Mac VIRB Edit 2.9.2, which fixes this issue, is out on Garmin's website ( http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=6593 ) and on the Mac App Store.
