I’m wondering if ECG is also coming to MARQ second gen ?

No. The MARQ Gen2 watches lack the necessary hardware.

Interesting. Thanks.
Which hardware is that?
As I understand it, primarily limited by the heart rate sensor - MARQ is the old style (Elevate 4?) and ECG requires the new style (Elevate 5).
MARQ HR sensor (no ECG):
tactix 7 AMOLED sensor (with ECG):

Besides what gaijin wrote, the watch has to have two insulated parts (electrodes), which is not the case at any older models. Typically the metal bottom is insulated from the metal bezel, on watches supporting ECG. While the bottom electrode connects to one arm, the other arm has to be in a conductive connection with the bezel, in order to read the electrical signals of the heart across the body.
