A slight change of plans, as we delve into the reserve footage and some new rides filmed this past season, the Morvan/Barolo route experimental rides are being pulled for now.

  • Well it looks to be a pleasant surprise/change of plan

  • V2 045_Hawea1 (New Zealand)

Mostly OK, with just a couple of minor niggles.

    • The camera starts at a rather jaunty angle and takes a few km to correct itself. There are a couple of other occasions where the angle seemed a bit off too but they weren't as noticeable.
    • Although I sometimes find it difficult to correctly match video and gradient when it's all in the +/- 2% range, and therefore questioned myself a few times on this route, the short 6% gradient at 12.1km seemed far too easy to ride up and the gradient on video didn't seem to be that steep either.

On a bit of a tangent, I see that the file names (as shown in Windows Explorer) have changed recently to a whole different format.

  • v2 045_Hawea1 (New Zealand)

    TDM - 100% / RFI - 100%. BT.  Streaming. Morning's weight is 65.3 kg. Average power - 1,67 W/kg.

    Like druidh all looks good.

Some times tilt of camera (right start), but for Asian Rides its already standart.

  • v2 045_Hawea2 (New Zealand)
Nice profile. First flat-ish followed by a climb with some nice steep gradients for ~1,5km
    I experienced no issues.

  • v2 046_Hawea3 (New Zealand)

    TDM - 100% / RFI - 100%. BT.  Downloaded. Morning's weight is 65.2 kg. Average power - 1,63 W/kg.

    All nice.

May be add road feeling at 12.53 km (joint in the road)?

  • v2 045_Hawea2 (New Zealand)

No major issues. Again, sometimes hard to distinguish between a slight climb, flat and a slight ascent.

There are a number of what appear to be drainage grids across the road that mighht have been used for Road Feeling but they're quite short and probably more hassle than they're worth.

I liked the format of this route - the long, gradual intro to the one big KOM, the sustained climb and then the wee cooldown descent at the end.

  • v2 046_Hawea4 (New Zealand)

    TDM - 100% / RFI - 100%. BT.  Streaming. Morning's weight is 65.0 kg. Average power - 1,92 W/kg.

    Film look correct.

But. For two workouts, I download films before starting. Films are visible in the settings, but they don't start. I use Streaming.

I use old version Tacx Trainig App - 4.65.1.55414

  • v0 Triglav1 - Bled (Julian Alps)

    TDM - 100% / RFI - 100%. BT.  Streaming. Morning's weight is 65.0 kg. Average power - 1,94 W/kg.

    Beautiful movie!
Today, the pre-downloaded file opened. Apparently, there was a problem with the cloud before.

20.52 - Maybe add a road feeling? Different asphalt, but I didn't notice when it ended.

    Nice climb in the middle.

27.44 - After the stop. Gradient about 0. Better to leave it at 1%.

28.42 - Wooden bridge. Could add a road feeling.

33.9 - Descent from the bridge, but the gradient doesn't show it.

wood bridges are all too short (other then the long one over the wider river that should work). added the grade fixes.

This footage was taken in 2021 with the older camera setup; it gives a better, more artistic image, I think, than the new one, but it also did not hold the horizon when filming in the way we do (it only looks where we go). So it's a little tougher to spot the grades. Its great though that some of these rides that are just sitting in my reserve are getting some daylight finally.

  • v2 045_Hawea1 (New Zealand)
All good. There was one moment were visually the gradient looked different than what the widget claimed, but it didn't seem like an error.

What's up with movies in Beta (4.75.0.0) now listed twice under the movies tab? Is my client broken or does everyone experience this?
