4.47.2.0 issues

I've become a little bit more active again on the indoor trainer and I noticed a few issues.

1) A small but annoying sizing issue with the HUD. KM to next climb text is being cut off.
I've tested this with autoscale on and off and zoom on 87,5% and 100%. The issue remains.

2) Perhaps not specific to this release, but TDA on Windows 11 keeps nagging about a software update for my Alpine (devices tab)
My production and Beta app on my android phone don't mention the update. On Android it says current versions are Motor=7.00 and System=7.06. These numbers are different compared to what is shown on TDA. Is 7.06 in fact 7.60 or something?
Also maybe apply consistency in the terms "radio" and "brake controller" on all devices?
Currently I'm unsure if I'm on the latest firmware or not.

Left (TDA Beta) on Win11
Right Android (TDA Beta or public)

3)
The options to filter Movies no longer show "favorites" or "downloaded movies". Why is there a favorite option if you can't use this as a filter?
Are these options removed on purpose? P.S. consider adding an option to filter movies with "live opponents", but that's more of a feature request I guess :)

4)
Some movies, like the latest published Finestre rides, can be found and started by using the World Map. However, I'm unable to find these when searching.
The same (or similar) issues is present with the older "Atlantic Coast" rides in Ireland. I can find them on the world map, but not with the search function

  • Reported sizing issue couple years ago, seems from your photo it has returned

  • Dear Peter,

Thank you for reaching our. Happy to have you back on the testers team.

Would you be able to indicate what you are using for your first 3 questions?
    - Beta/Live app
    - Windows/Android/iOS/MacOS
    - Which Version your using

For the 4th question I just posted on the "Film Testing - Autumn" thread. Which is connected to your questions.

    Thanks you
    Kind Regards,
    Tacx / Garmin

    Ah right!
This is on Windows 11 (Version 23H2) and TDA Beta 4.47.2.0
I've noticed this version was also recently pushed to public

For the firmware warning issue 2
Screenshot is from Beta 4.47.2.0 on Win11
My Tacx App android versions are: 4.74.2 (public) and 4.74.2-beta

    Interesting
I thought the issue was introduced when they started using different fonts (or at least it looks like a different font to me) and a more black'ish themed GUI

  • Back with some more feedback/issues

    Windows 11 25H2, TDA Beta 4.47.2.0

    5) It seems there is a sizing issue with the pre-climb popup as well. Bottom text is falling off, perhaps due to line break of climb name. See screenshot below.

    6) Sometimes when starting a course (downloaded or streaming), I see the first frame of the video but the video does not start/continue. The timer on the bottom of the screen is increasing and my power is shown in the riders widget. In most cases a restart of TDA fixes this, but today it didn't. I looked a bit further and I noticed that my trainer was not even connected in TDA (doh!).
How is it possible I can start a video when my trainer is not connected? Is this a bug or is this "as designed"?
Special note that I use an external power meter which was connected to TDA at the time!

This is probably more me making this climb name extremely long haha....will change it to something shorter like E for east or maybe IT for Italy with the other side getting a FR?  Looks like we have about 28 letters

Tacx Apps is looking for power data (watts) & will calculate a 'virtual speed' from this + the grades/friction/weight etc. So if there is any pressure on the cranks & some watts being generated, you're going to move if thats all it sees. Your not going to feel the grades change though...even this s not really cheating, you will still have to generate more watts/kg to get a PR on any KOM ;-).

Edit - thats if the modern version of Tacx Apps can still use external power meters like TTS4 could, never tested this

  • I forgot to connect the ANT transmitter today.
    Bluetooth showed no device connected.
But the app showed the power.
    How is this possible?

  • Same issues here on 4.74.2.0 public on Win 11 regarding widget test cutoff and update available for Neo/Alpine despite been already updated

  • Another issue - with Downloaded Movies

I have around 60 movies downloaded to a dedicated folder on my D: drive.

Download Manager only recognises 5 of them.

I've tried redoing the Link Movies selection in Settings but I get a response that there are no movies in the folder to link.

In the Downloads section of the Movies menu I see a number of Movies I have definitely NOT downloaded and none that I have.

I tried the Link Movie Folder option on the production version too, and again none were found.
