Resume Training from Dashboard

TDA Beta. 4.70.1.0

Resume Training from Dashboard has Widgets working but no video picture (black screen)

I have been using this feature to continue rides in parts.(Downloaded videos)

Highland 1(Scotland) After 2 sessions Resume Training had black video screen.
Redownload/ Restarted this film and 2nd session had black video screen.

A test on l’Alpe d’Huez Decent. No issues with Start to halfway. Then black video picture on Resume Training from Dashboard.

If use TTA Beta then Resume Training from Dashboard has video picture.

Hi, I have a black video screen with widgets when I try to restart a ride, also when I try to ride the 2nd half of a ride split in two by the Garmin app, if I try to set a customised course I get the same black screen with widgets, all since June TDA update.Deleted and re-installed everything including a Windows 11 update no success. Sent details to Garmin , no reply,

App plays fine if I do the whole course ride or I do the 1st part of a 2 part ride, if I try 2nd part of any ride then it's back to the black screen with widgets. I am using the standard App not Beta, surely Garmin are aware of this fault by now?

The Resume Training issue has been fixed with update 4.7.1.2.0. The problem is that some of us are not seeing the update bar so still getting the Resume training issue on 4.70.2.0.

Thanks for the heads up Dave, but any idea how I can somehow get the update as it is not yet on Windows App which is 4.70.2.0 ?

I have this issue with Beta and Live. 4.70.2.0
No idea how to get that latest update.
The bar update 4.7.1.2.0 should be there when opening TDA.

I can only see 4.70.2.0 in both Prod and Beta Windows TDA apps. I don't see any Update bar in either.

The updated version of TDA 4.71.2.0 appeared on my screen today 23/07/2025 and I loaded it. On a two part course when I selected it came up with a video but when I selected the 2nd part the 1st part video appeared with the whole course selected ? Looks like a half arsed repair. Uninstalled TDA and re-installed it with no change. I am no further ahead as I can only down load a complete course or the 1st part of a 2 part course, also if I create custom course it simply ignores this and presents me with a complete course starting at the beginning. The video problem has been solved kind of but it’s the wrong video and start!

I was so hopeful when I saw the new update but no further on, anyone else having a problematic upgrade?

4.71.2.0 upgrade was made available to me today {23/07).

Beta is still 4.70.2.0

Updated Live TDA to 4.71.2.0.

Test rides -Lavardens Cycle Tour (Gascony)

Part 2- Video played correct part.

Started full ride and stopped at 5.48km.

Resume Training played correctly from 5.48km.

Created a Sub course on Koppenberg starting just past the start of the KOM.
4 tests had full ride start picture but when cycling the video went to the correct position of created course.

Resume training seems to be fixed with update 4.71.2.0

Still waiting for TDA Beta to show latest update.
