Film Testing Priority - February to March

For the late winter/early Spring period, we have 10 rides from Thailand (names not yet defined, so please use their numbers) & 7 new rides from the recent January training camps on the Costa Blanca, which are the priority if you see them pop up in the ride menu. All of these are now in their final stages so expect new routes to come into the menu at a fairly fast pace over the next two weeks.

    Everything was fine, but at 3.69 km after stopping there was an unexpected drop in grade.
    Beautiful video, high quality. A particularly beautiful cloud.

  • I think this ride (Q36.5) came out nice, we kind of jump from rider to rider as they spread out doing intervals up the biggest climb down there. .

    Very good video. Everything is fine. It's nice to overtake weaker athletes;)
    But I prefer 1-5 km of flat road, and then a hill.

    Remember you can always fine tune the route you ride by creating your own subcourse, at least in TDA you can do this. For the Pro team films it was a bit tough, for this team I had actually filmed them from the Hotel, I have enough footage for another ride but the route took us close to Benidorm & we all got split up in the heavy traffic, I had this 3km section of filming behind a huge bus, by the time I had managed to overtake the thing the team had quite a gap that I had to close up...Where we start the ride just happens to where we all regrouped...not a lot of flat from then onwards haha.

    Good ride with a nice distance (45,5km)
    It starts out with a few hills totaling ^579m followed by and long, slow descend to the finish. Perfect for a recovery ride.
    No roadfeel so nothing to note there. The rest of the ride was good and climbs/descends felt natural.
    I'm not a big fan of movies filmed from a car, but the different scenery is nice to watch.


    v2 Lotto DSTNY 1, Vall de la Gallinera
    Enjoyable ride watching the butts of the Lotto boys :D. With 44km it's a perfect distance for my taste. About a 1,5 hour tempo effort.
    No steep climbs but a very long 20km+ hill bringing the total of this ride to ^819m.
    At one spot I noticed some roadfeel, so not much to give feedback on.
    The resistance on climbs/descends felt good to me. There was one cut/transition of the video which seemed a bit rough. This was when you re-joined the group after descending the first climb.
    There were 2 times when two of the Lotto boys did a sprint from behind. They went fasstttt, haha. It would have been nice if you could (but probably not allowed to?) follow them.

    I do try in the Q36.5 film I follow them doing intervals as they are climbing V02 style efforts of probably about 500watts..eventually, I start to alternate with riders recovering as Im also on my limit haha..but a Pro rider sprinting is doing way over 1000watts & a very heavy Ebike, with a tiny little motor, loaded with filming gear & spare batterys with a rider thats.... hmm 'not quite as lean as he used to be' haha, cant do half of this really, they are not made to accelerate at 1000watts / by skinny pro rider/ $10K+ bike weight.

    When filming the teams Im ok on climbs up to about when they start pushing their V02max...then Im also pushing mine, if they go harder then they will simply pull away, but they will have to recover at some point haha

    I wonder if/what the arrangements are with the teams. I can imagine you have to be extremely careful not to mess up their training and mainly follow them from behind.

    That first sprint in the Lotto1 film looked so incredible fast. And it was like 600, 700m before the top?
    I never realized you actually pedal (hard) too :D

    I'll put the Q36.5 film on my list for tonight :) looking forward to it.

    Yes,I stay out of it, but also really for the simulation its also better if I follow the group which will be going a fair bit slower. 99.99% of the Tacx customers will not be able to push the same watts/kg as some of these riders & the cadence of the pro your following will be kind of slow....or rather even slower ;-)

    Good quality video. Just a short one. The message that the top of the first hill appeared already on the descent. But the gradient is good. There is no road feeling anywhere. And it shouldn't be.
