Road Feel Sync Test

Just had another report of road feel that in sync in the data being not in sync while riding. 

To try & broaden a test for this, I've made a special version of Veitastrond Lakeside (Norway) v5 that has 3 short sub-courses for the road feel.  Ideal I would like as many as possible to ride the 3 courses (just a few km), see if the road feeling starts roughly correct. The ideal would be to ride the whole ride afterward & then see if you have any sync issues. 

Please if you know it say if you're using BT or Ant+  The report from Mal today was using BT...I suspect this issue is linked to an update that happened sometime late last year when these reports started to flow.

    v5 TEST Veitastrond Lakeside (Norway)

    Trainer 3M BT   HRM Ant+

    Test 1  Road feel could be felt starting correctly but very low %,  then kicked in correctly after 30m.On another test the feel could not be felt in the first 30m.

    Test 2 Road feel starting/ending correctly.

    Test 3 Road feel starting/ending correctly.

    The gravel feel % can go on a automatic sliding scale depending on power/speed and grades. High power output climbs can feel like a long loud cattle grid.

    Thanks for taking the time opening a topic and publishing a version of a video with sub courses to test.
    For clarification... with "in sync" do you mean road-feel erroneously continuing and/or not starting while on a road-feeling-section at all?

    I just finished testing it. The resulsts:
    Test section 1: roadfeel start and stop was perfect
    Test section 2: roadfeel start and stop was perfect
    Test section 3: Attempt 1: start was perfect, but the roadfeel did not end and continued until subcourse was done.
    Test section 3: Attempt 2: start and stop was perfect.
    Test section 3: Attempt 3: start and stop was perfect.

    Testing was done with 100%/100% setting and 3M trainer connected with ANT+

    A few days ago I rode Gotthard Pass on public as part of the Tremola challenge. Again I experienced a problem with one roadfeel section not ending but continuing on to the next section with roadfeel.

    The developers are now looking at the issue; I messaged them about it yesterday

    Actually both, if its sticking on then this is also obviously not a great thing, I suspect Tacx will want to fix it

    If this happens on the public version then nobody would use the road feel option at all, it needs to be reported for sure.

    Tacx Trainer Desktop Application v4.51.2.36005

    Trainer: Tax NEO 1. Old. Serial number 6343.

     

    Connection:

    Heart monitor – ANT (TACX T2028).

    Trainer – Bluetooth. Now TACX T2028 - does not find trainer. Connected before.

    I have Garmin ANT sensor. Sensor does not connect to the heart monitor and trainer, does not find it.

    Power Plot Widget appears on the screen only when connected to bluetooth.

     

    Full course - there is no road feeling.

    Tests 1 and 3 - also no road feeling.

    Test 2 - road feeling appears end, before the highway. It ends at the highway.

    Trainer Tacx Neo Bike with BT

    I have tested the 3 parts with no issues, perfect road feel.

    Hmm, maybe it is hardware-related? For sure this is random on the surface, has anyone else with a Neobike experienced Road feel sticking this winter?

    I have done the tests again, but my Neo Bike was connected to TDA via ANT+. That are the results:

    Test1: Road feel didn't stop at the road at the end.

    Test 2: No road feel

    Test 3: Road feel didn't stop at the road at the end

    With BT all was working fine.

    Test 1 Road feel starting/ending and working correctly.

    Test 2 Road feel not working.

    Test 3 Road feel starting/ending and working correctly.

    Different results with BT and Ant+ testing.
