Decided to do a short break in order to get some autumn colours filmed in the sun (OK I needed to see the sun after our endless rain), had to go all the way south until the Drôme to find it though! Today we added another couple of rides worth to the reserve..”just stunning” is the word in my head looking at the footage from today. Lovely empty roads, amazing colours,vineyards some climbing but all on mellow single figure grades, light hill mist at one point adding something extra cool to the film. If anyone is a bit sick of the Provence then the Drôme is a utterly brilliant spot to ride, especially the valleys just to south of the river.
