Canal du Midi

Lovely opening - the Autumn shades are glorious.

Though there seems to be an issue with the dirt climb 2/3rds in. The resistance feels wrong and the incline steeper than it states (1-2%).  Despite 280w 90-95 rpm, speed stayed around 20kmph and the film was moving at lless than my walking pace.

The dirt part at the end was also 1% and my watts were similar to earlier, though the speed was back up to 30+ kph.Likewise other films where there is gravel/road feel and a greater incline the resistance, speed, filrm speed and roadfeel is good.

  • Hi Baron , this film was published a few years ago, I don't think I can adjust the data of a ride that's been published. Looking back, I tried some methods to slow the customers down a bit on the muddy dirt track part of the ride, to keep the frame rate close to as it was made (walking pace haha). For a ride like this one I dont think anyone really uses it for a test of fitness or anything. If anyone knows if I can take another look at this ride I can dig it up again.

I really love to film in Autumn, but its become a little harder to do any filming then so as the releases are now planned well in advance which is also a good thing I guess. But we might be heading south this weekend to film the end of the Etape du Tour (we already have the first half of it) & possibly Monaco with the eastern accent of the Eeze as this will be all over the news until next July with this being the final TT of the TDF..

  • Sorry, I should have stated it was an older film. Its a good one too, just that 'section' is a pain :p

If anyone from Tacx reads this thread and knows if I can update the data of published rides?  I could redo this one. It will not effect anyone’s time in a negative way as they would be a bit faster after the change.
