4.46.0.29403 Beta crashed

Today was my first time trying the new 4.46.0.29403 beta release. It crashed at about 2.2 km into a ride. I re-started (without re-booting the computer), resumed the ride and it crashed within a couple of 100m. I then started a ride in the production app (again without re-booting the computer), and that ride finished without issues.

Which ride? I assume it is a video. Did you do the same video in both beta and production release? Are you using the beta cloud or public cloud?

The old Zeeland 1 video, which is no longer available in the production release, so it was not the same ride. The little icon on top says it is connected to the beta cloud. The crashed ride did upload.

This could be an issue with the particular video. I would try to do an apples to apples comparison by using a current video that works without problem in the public release version of TDA and see if it has a problem in beta. I think I would also compare streaming videos. Some older downloaded videos might have problems.

Well, I did that exact same video just a few days before in the previous beta and there were no problems. And I never download, always stream.

The idea I was trying to convey was your Zeeland 1 video might not actually work in the current production release either, but you have no way to test that. If other videos that are available for streaming in both the production and the beta release appear to work without problems, the issue may be something specific to Zeeland 1. As I recall, there have been instances when a video that previously worked has stopped working due to incompatibilities with the later TDA releases. In those case, an updated video is released to resolve the problem. Perhaps someone from Garmin/Tacx can shed light on this.

Bart-

Following up on the earlier posts, today I did an older ride in beta that I had downloaded quite a while ago (Noordzeeroute, Katwijk). I have not ridden this in for some time. I also chose a custom course I had created (last 8 miles). The ride started okay, but after only 400 feet, the program did a bunch of odd stuff - going back and forth a couple of times to the PC desktop and then it just completely crashed and shut down, going back to the desktop. I restarted TDA beta and selected the same video and the same 8 mile course and this time it worked fine all the way to the end. I can't recall if TDA automatically tries to update the data file on older rides. I seem to recall it doing this. Perhaps that was the cause or perhaps it is some other quirk. Anyway, this is the first time this 29403 beta has caused any problems for me.

I have done about 10 rides with this version and today I have got the 4. crash.

I had another crash today, this time about 6.5 km into the v3 024 Otago Peninsula (New Zealand) - Part 1 ride. This is a brand new ride, not yet available in the production version of the app.

I had another CTD yesterday as well. Early on in a ride. I had to re-install the previous version of TDA to complete the ride.
