4.45.1.28048 TDA HR monitor dropping

I see some people reported problems with dropping HR monitors in v4.44.0.26618. I don't think these have been resolved in 4.45.1.28048.

My case is a HR monitor from a Garmin watch connected on ANT. I am used to the production TDA dropping that every once in a while, but it always returns after a few seconds. The 4.45.1.28048 beta has a nicer message (it actually says the HR monitor dropped, production version says something dropped, but does not mention HR monitor), but it does not pick it up again. I have not found any way to re-connect the HR monitor during the ride. Only stopping the ride, exiting the beta TDA, and newly broadcasting the HR monitor does it.

On occasions HR (TACX BT HR belt) dropped for me in last few versions have just kept riding and ALWAYS reconnected without any recourse from me within 2 minutes max..

I was having some issues with ANT+ HRM's either disconnecting or have problems connecting initially in the last few months. This was occurring with various versions. I am using older Garmin HR straps. In the end, I appear to have solved the problem by taking 2 steps:

1. Ensure the CR2302 button battery is fresh. Depending on the number of hours used per week, this can require battery replacement every 3 to 6 months.

2. Unless the PC is very close to the user, use an extension cable on the ANT+ transmitter rather than rely on a direct plug-in to USB port on the PC. I found that having more than 10 feet distance caused erratic performance. I now have the transmitter about 2 feet from the strap.

This happens with BT HR belts for me too! If I run a BT analyser, it looks like the PC doesn't drop the device - so I am assuming its the app?!
