Garmin / Tacx are premium brands.
The latest high compression and removal of 4k takes all of that away.
I understand there is a focus on phones and small screens. but cycling has turned into an expensive sport.
People have premium bikes. The Neo is a premium device, unfortunately the Magnum got scrapped.
The only thing that TDA currently has over the competition is the quality of phil's films.
Seeing at at high compression on a 55" screen is just subpar and feels cheap.
If you look at how efficient netflix`fake 4k encoding is, and i look at how much bandwidth TDA uses for 1080p that feels wors than netflix at 720, I'd say the issue is not the cost of the bandwidth but getting compression to a netflix level at a minimum.
