Vivosport not syncing new alarms

Has anyone noticed that alarms created on Garmin Connect iOS App do not sync immediately to their Vivosport? I set up 2 alarms yesterday for tomorrow morning (so Tuesday set up for Thursday alarms), and neither showed up on my watch despite numerous syncing from the watch itself or the app. Nothing would make them appear. Finally, I dug out my computer cable and used Garmin Express to sync. That solved the problem. However, given the App is supposed to allow us to control all aspects of the Garmin devices, that seems very odd.

This has been an issue for sometime, but I figured it was my Vivosport. However, I just received a warranty replacement and the issue is present on this watch too. Brand new, factory reset. 

Anyone else experienced this? Not sure if it is the one day alarm or that others are off or something else. In any case, this should work and sync immediately.
