Can't setup new vivosport because it won't pair with phone

I've used Garmin Connect to "Add Device" and it finds the vivosport. When I get the bluetooth notification on my phone, asking me to enter the passcode from the vivosport I successfully enter the passcode and get the message that the passkey is incorrect even though it is clearly not. I've restarted my phone (Google Pixel 2) and reconnected the vivosport multiple times. What else can I try? I've paired a forerunner, two different Edges and a vivofit 3 with this phone so I know the pairing should work.

    I bought one yesterday and paired it with my pixel 2. It took me a couple tries. However, my problem was the first time i tried i didnt get the passcode option. I had to go into the vivosport menu but long pressing and selecting the bluetooth pairing option manually and it finally paired. I have not had a problem since.
  • Huh, that worked for me too. I completed the initial setup without connecting it to my phone, and then went to the settings menu to do the pairing. Finally connected! Thanks so much for your help :)
