Missing steps

Yesterday evening around 8PM I met my daily steps goal. I did synchronize with my mobile app after that. However, today I am seeing I was 140 steps shy of meeting my daily steps goal in Garmin Connect. Garmin Connect shows about 500 fewer steps than my Vivosport shows for yesterday. I have synced, refreshed etc. It is important because of a a fitness program ... how can this be adjusted, and how can future discrepancies be prevented?
  • Did this get fixed for you? Same thing happened to me on the exact same day. Broke my goal streak.
  • No. I had to start a new streak....

Garmin, what happened on the 4th May? Can you fix it? I was on a 69 day streak for my steps and I can see on my watch I did 18475 steps but Garmin connect is showing 0 days. I'm devastated :-(

My Vivosport decided to ignore steps on 5/10/18 for some reason. Totally annoying and it seems like no one at Garmin is working on these bugs. This too is annoying.

The only sure way to get steps is on the internet. Steps on your watch or cell phone can get lost in the transition from one day to the next. The cure is to sync all activities before midnight and use the Windows version of Garmin Connect to verify an adequate total for the day. Steps that appear in the Windows version of Garmin Connect are never lost. If you verify by 10 PM, you have two hours to add more steps.
