Vivosport not calculating intensity minutes

Is anyone having issues w the intensity minutes not calculating for an activity? I did a live chat last week and Garmin admitted they noticed them not calculating so I reset directory defaults and still having the issue.
  • Quite the contrary... I have had activity minutes recorded from the Vivosport, whilst keeping it in my bag when walking...

Are you using the Android app? Did this behavior start happening on Feb 9th?
  • I have same problem. Is there a fix for this?
  • Theirs an issue with HR that most likely is affecting intensity minutes.
When its cold outside -5 to +3 degrees I never get a pulse over 90, but as soon as its +5 degrees and sunny i get 120-136.
I walk the same distance every day at lunch and i log my all my sessions. Same behavior every day...

I also noticed that fw 2.90 does not log sleeping very well. No pulse sometimes... Maybe we get a fix in 3.x ... who knows.... Garmin is not communicating with us (or atleast thats my impression).
  • Yes, this did begin ocuring around Feb 9th - I even asked if it was a software update issue.
  • I updated to 2.91 and right after that minutes began to count.

I don't know if something was stuck or did the firmware update actually help.

I'm having this issue since I bought it end of november. I cycle 20 km every day with several walks during the day and the occasional run. Usually I get one or two days in the week, often monday and tuesday, or after a recharge, when intensity minutes start recording. My cycle ride alone is enough to get me 30-40 minutes. After 1 day usually it stops recording for the rest of the week and then resets sunday night. Of all the weeks I had it, only 2 weeks I met the preset intenisty minutes. One time when due to heavy snowfall I had to walk 10km and drag my bike along which spiked my HR. And one time last week where unexpectedly it recorded for 3 days straight. That week was below zero temperatures throughout and very windy which again spiked my HR during activities. Both times when preset intensity minutes were reached, it stopped recording immediatly.
It doesn't matter on which platform the app runs: android phone, ipad or webbrowser app, they all show the same. Also doesn't matter how I sync (watch to phone or phone to watch). Watch to phone syncing does help though with syncing sleep data to app. Often sleep data only appears after syncing several times from watch.
Anyways, I don't even look at this intensity minute things anymore. It just sucks, like many features of this tracker. To me it really seems a lot of software issues
