This MIGHT be an option,
but it's not one I would try until my strap was already broken. 11 months after purchase, mine is still fine.
Warranty - contact company. My entire device was replaced when my strap ripped.
Mine was bought as a present and am told it is not in warranty. 89 dollars to replace the strap. Not very happy as I have actually had it for less than 12 months
All, I tried the solution from the YouTube video. I bought a couple vivofit 1/2 straps on amazon. Cost was about $13-$14. I took a pocket knife to the corners of the “watch” portion of my vivosport. Still fully functional. And was successful in slipping the vivosport watch portion into the vivofit strap. So far, so good. I’ve been using it for a little over a month now. I’m very happy with this solution so far. The rubber of the new strap is soft enough, it stretched just a bit but everything fits nicely. I recommend trying it if you haven’t already.
My strap ended up tearing, it was out of warranty and I didn’t want to pay much to replace my band. After doing some research my options were Shoe Goo or risking it and buying bands for another Garmin model and hoping it would fit. I bought a generic 5 pack of bands compatible with the Garmin Vivofit 1/2 and it fit! You do have to cut the old straps off. I also don’t know if I can trust my Garmin.in water now that I’ve changed straps so I’ve been keeping it dry.
