Vivosmart 4 losing time

My Vivosmart 4 keeps losing time (that is the clock runs slow). But I cannot find anywhere on the device itself or on the Garmin Connect page to update the time. Searching the internet reveals information on how to manually change the time on the Vivosmart 3 but no such information seems to exist for the Vivosmart 4 version. Help!

I have used the Garmin Connect app on my laptop since 2019 and it has until this year always synced the vivosmart 4 with the time on my computer. However this year this no longer works. No matter how many times I click the sync button it never updates the time. It appears one of software updates has caused the problem. Hence why I searched for manual option to correct the time. It seems silly to me that the manual option was available on the 3, but not the 4 or 5. My laptop runs windows 10.

When you say Garmin Connect app, are you referring to Garmin Express? You can also sync the time with the Garmin Connect Mobile app on your phone.

Correct. Yesterday I uninstalled Garmin Express and re-installed the software but that did not fix the problem. In Garmin Express I do the sync of the device then click on to Garmin Connect to view the data. It all works except the device loses minutes every day.

What about the Garmin Connect Mobile app on your phone? Should allow you to sync that way as well.

I've never used the app on my phone. Last four years I only use my laptop for both the vivosmart 4 and Edge 530. Never had a problem until now.

Might be worth a try to at least get the watch synched until Garin Express works for you again.

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy A series. It says that Garmin do not support android.

Which version of Garmin Express are you using? Latest, as of today, is 7.19.0.0.
