SpO2 data needs to be accessible to Apple Health and Garmin Connect

When I was shopping for a health tracker, I had two main features in mind. Apple Health integration and SpO2 monitoring (otherwise known as pulse oximetry or "PulseOx"). I found the vivosmart 4 and was, at first, impressed with its form factor and minimalist design. However, the software side of things have let me down.

I want to be able to monitor my SpO2 through the day just as I can my HR. I've seen a few versions of Connect update on my iPhone, and I'm afraid it's not going to last much longer. I stopped wearing my vivosmart 4 several months ago because it's useless. Tonight I found it in a pile of paperwork stashed behind my iMac and plugged it in. Now it's up-to-date running 4.60 and Garmin Connect is at 4.31... with some new badges or something.

Or am I right in saying that it's called PulseOx for a reason, and if it wasn't a gimmick then it would be called SpO2? Sorry, I'm trying to be polite, I just don't want to see Garmin go down the same route as Toys R Us.
