Garmin Vivosmart 4 problems with Connected GPS

After the firmware my Garmin VS4 has connected GPS. Very happy but very soon I found that I have only few GPS completed workouts. Most of the time I have only short segment from my routes. It is not my phone GPS because other software gave me complete routes (started at the same time with my VS4).

Anybody with the same problem? Any solutions?

    I'll hope it's fixed soon.

    Here a Sony Xperia XA1 Pro, that is totally fine and has GPS working, but since the latest two connect app versions, the app is not connecting to the GPS anymore. Tried everything, with permission off the app asks for permission, and when granted the GPS appeard to be unreachable to the app.

    GPS is working fine in all other applications.

  • I rolled back to 4.31.1 and the GPS now works again. However, I see that it is no longer recording my sleep or heart rate. Any suggestions?

    Now don't hold me to this lol, but, when I did the exact same thing as you have, it took maybe two or a few days to start recording that info again, I have no idea why, but that's how it happened for me...

  • Thanks. I just noticed it, and it has been 5 days. I hope Garmin comes up with a fix soon.

    I downgraded a few days ago and haven't had any issues with sleep or heart rate tracking. Maybe unlink and re-link your vivosmart with Garmin connect?

  • Thanks shadowsjc. I unlinked and relinked the device and found out the heart rate monitoring was turned off. I have turned it back on and it is now monitoring. I don't think I will know about the sleep monitoring until after tonight. I appreciate your advice!

    When we could expect this problem to be solved? I found it very unprofessional from Garmin. I bought your product week ago and cannot use it properly. Moreover there is problem with bluetooth syncing after some time when the memory Is full. Found a post at droidguy.com forum saying I need to time from time reinstall the Garmin connect app and reboot the device, which Is also annoying AF. Do you guys want us all to throw away our money and your product to the trash bin and go out buy another device and tell others to run away from Garmin products? When do you expect these 2 major problems to ve fixed by new version of Garmin connect app and firmware od Vivosmart 4? Thanks
