My distance is set to km but Auto Lap shows in mils. Do anyone else have that problem?
And what to do about it?

    The same here.

I already sent email with this bug to support (version of software was 3.10) New version (4.0) did not fix it

  • I don't have a vivosmart 4, but if it is anything like the vivosmart 3 then you will need to go into your settings on your phone that deals with auto laps and change it to km's.  You would think that if you choose your units to be in kilometres then that would change automatically, but no, you will need to change this setting as well.  I haven't used my vivosmart 3 for some time so I can't put in each individual step on how to get to that setting.

    Cheers.

    I have both Vivosmart3 and 4...

Vivosmart3 has broken wrist band (design to hold only for 11/2Y ?) but this unit interprets my setting correctly (metric) Also... Vivosmart4 does not take custom setting for stride length. My stride was calibrated and according to GPS, and Vivosmart3 it is around 70 cm long. In Vivosmart4, doesn't matter what I set, it os always 83 cm long ( someone 8 ft tall?) 1200 steps for 1 km.

It is really frustrated to get brand new unit with so many bugs, which should be caught basic QA testing:

    1. Lapping in miles

    2. Start count walking activity always in 10 min ignoring setting (fixed with v 4.00)

    3.Ignored custom stride length

Did I miss anything?  or did not discover yet?

maybe it is not the watch that has a bug, maybe it is the Garmin Connect app that sends the wrong settings to the watch?

    Just a thought

Or maybe they hire programmers from NASA? For Mars lander, they done all calculation in feet but programmed lander in meters. Ops. 20ft under surface. :)

  • Same problem here. After the last two updates, the problem still persist.
