Weather not syncing

I have been using my vivosmart4 (softwareversion 2.60) with my iPhone 8 (iOS version 12.1 (16B5089b)) and the iOS app Garmin connect (version 4.12.1.2), and ever since a week or two, i can’t get the weather to sync anymore!

The only (temporary) workaround I’ve found so far is to completely reset the device, but it only works for a few minutes and then I’m left with the weather not found graphics again.
Attached are what the watch face looks like, and some of the app diagnostics

    Same for me on iPhone X. If they are not going to allow heart rate on home screen then at least get the weather working... Or I could just look outside the window. Weather on home screen is a useless waste of space, more so if it never works.

    If I go to Maps on the iPhone and then locate myself (the little arrow) and then sync the watch in connect, the weather will most always update. But then if I'm going to look at the phone, I'll just check the weather :)

    I'm having a similar issue on Android 8.0.0. I don't usually lose the weather data within minutes, but consistently within 24 hours of a reset (by connecting the tracker to my PC with Garmin Express, after which I immediately have weather data on the tracker again). Garmin Connect has all permissions enabled, and it syncs other data with the tracker, as well as MyFitnessPal (so it's connecting to the internet). The problem still occurs when my phone's weather app updates my location, so I don't think it's a function of being unable to determine location, either.

    I can usually connect my tracker to my PC daily, but it would be nice to have an alternative solution for times when I can't connect to reset the tracker.

    Edit: Tracker has the latest firmware as of this post, SW 2.80 (TSC 2.10, SNS 2.50, NET 4.60).

    my weather only updates when i open garmin connect on Iphone. that is useless. Before weather was updated when i scroll to widget on the Watch.
