Display will not turn on with Gesture (raising wrist)

While I have my "Gesture" Display setting as "on", the display will only turn on with a double tap.
When the setting on "Only During Activity" its working fine "during the activity", and it turns on while I raise my wrist.

Does anybody know how to solve this issue, or might it be a software problem?

Same here. Guess I must have accidentally tapped 'Do not Disturb' when disconnecting my phone. Thanks for the anwser!

I agree with the below replies. Additionally, it seems like the type of watch face effects the responsiveness of the screen turning on. Heavy Data or Third Party faces seem to take longer to load on the watch. Pick a simpler design and see if that changes anything

I have Venu and it will not work only if put despley always on, but battery last Only 24 hrs

My 3 day old lily is doing the same. The only way to turn on the watch face is to use the app to find my phone then the face lights up! The Do not disturb symbol on my watch does not open. On the app it is set from 10pm to 6am but the watch face won't light up outside these hours. What can I do to fix it so I can use my new watch.

Hi there! This is not normal. Can you sync the device with Garmin Express then unplug and tell me if there is any difference. If there is not, are you able to get into the settings on the watch itself to reset the device?
