No inline skating?

Hi,

I saw that there was no activity option for inline skating in the Garmin connect app for the vivomove style. I can however make an activity manually and select inline skating as the activity. Why is this not compatible with the vivomove style?

As far as I understand the watch just needs to monitor the data (heart rate, stride rate, location (via phone) etc), it can already do that for other sports. And the app can then interpret that data (cal burned, vo2max etc) and since that is a possibility already in the app for other watches, I do not understand why it could not be done for the vivomove.

I want to skate, but I'm afraid that when I select running, all the results will be wrong.

Hi, has this progressed anywhere? I believe inline skating is quite a popular activity (also based on the forum discussions). Could you please add it or at least add a name for it in the custom activities? Thanks

yes, I vote for this one too!!! Although Im using forerunner, it is the same story. I tried some third party app, which is ugly and expensive and still, it doesnt show different colors for different speeds on the map.

Garmin-AmberD is there a way to see how Inline Skating chosen from the Other category has ranked along the years since its first forum request in 2014 against other activities with regards to the amount of users that practice it?
