Just curious if anyone has had success with aftermarket 20mm quick release bands for the Vivomove Luxe? I have just bought this watch for my fiancé for Christmas and as a side gift, I bought a few different aftermarket watch bands so she could mix up the stying for fashion, sport use etc. I didn’t go with the available Garmin watch band range mainly due to colour choices, sizing etc. I went with a company called Barton Watch Bands. I purchased the bands off of Amazon, but it was only after visiting Barton’s own website I noticed they have a disclaimer saying that their bands don’t fit Garmin Smart watches (.... specifically Garmin). I wasn’t aware of this at the time of purchase but it raised a few red flags.
Garmins own product page states that the Vivomove Luxe uses an “industry standard 20mm quick release band”. After doing a bit of web digging, there have been reports of some Garmin users reporting aftermarket watch bands popping out due to pin sizing differences. Seemed to be on older models though and those that had a plastic watch body. Just wanted to see if this has been a problem with the Luxe. Want to be sure we don’t end up with a lost watch scenario due to a band failure and the watch falling away unnoticed.
