Vivomove Style bluetooth range

Hi, I've just bought Garmin Vivomove Style watch and the first impression was great, but after that i noticed that it loses connection with the phone pretty easily. It keeps the connection for maximum 5 metres distance. Is there anyone who has normal bluetooth range performance? Watches which cost 25 euro have 5 times better bluetooth range and stability... What is your expierience with bluetooth range of vivomove style watches? Please share.

Best regards!

  • I have a Style since August and before that I had a Vivomove HR for two and half year. In both cases the Bluetooth range is easily 10 meters or a little more in open space and little less than that at home from one room to another or from one floor to another.

Keep in mind that despite Bluetooth being a standard there are multiple versions and a lot of devices working on the same frequency. In fact, having too much range with Bluetooth contribute to piling up interference, considering how many devices now use it.

Last but not least, it seems to be from reading the Garmin forums, that iPhones tend to have more connectivity problems than Android-based phones. I have always used Android phones, with Garmin watches, but also with Jawbone and Fitbit trackers before and never had connectivity o range issues.
