GPS not updating + stuck on wait screen and no GPS signal

My Vivosmart HR+ has been stuck on wait forever whenever I try to start an outdoor activity, it worked fine before. I searched on the forums here and found people mentioning that the GPS version I have - 4.40 - is outdated and there is a new update that could fix it. I have already tried to sync the device at my computer and my mobile phone, but both do not update my GPS. 

How can I update my GPS? Is there any fix to this? At this moment, my Garmin device is a step counter/sleep tracker, which is basically useless to me. 

  • This is not the Vivosmart forum. What is the watch you have? The Vivomove HR does not have a GPS. None of the Vivomove series do, although the Luxe, Style, 3 and 3s have Connected GPS (they get the data via Bluetooth from the GPS on your phone).

    Sorry, I posted it at the wrong forum. 

    The model I use is the Vivosmart HR+, which has a GPS.
