Bought a Garmin refurbished vivofit3 jr. Won't pair with app.

Unknowingly bought a refurbished Garmin vivofit 3 jr. The band is brand new. However the watch does not pair with the app. Another vivofit 3.jr. pairs just fine.

Help!

I sent it back. It was a Garmin Refurbished watch FYI. Got a new one in box. Syncing works now.

This is as far as I get. Restarting the watch, NV RESET, leaving the battery out - nothing helps
