Vivofit jr. delete data from device

This is not working for my sons device

Hello! You can pop the batteries out for 10 min and it will wipe the data. 

I did this in my two vivofit jr devices to wipe and sell. And now, neither device will turn on!? What do I do--is this normal? 

Hey there! No, this is not normal. The devices should be back on. I would take the batteries out and flip them, if they still do not work then try replacing the batteries. 

Note: You need to let go of the button when "NV RST" or "DEMO" shows. If you keep holding the button, it'll just shut the watch off. 
It will display GARMIN right away if you do it right :)

When I do this, it shows the triangle and then goes back to trying to sync. So frustrating! I'm just trying to change the time but it hasn't updated when it has synced so I thought I would try resetting and starting again. 

I have tried this several times and nothing working. I’m getting very frustrated.
