Pairing difficulties

My watch started regularly restarting, so I performed a hard reset back to factory specs. But now, my watch will pair with my smart phone, but not with my tablet. When I attempt to pair to the tablet I get an on screen message on my watch that it is already paired.

I have wiped Garmin connect from my phone and tried to pair to the tablet (so that I know that it is definitely not paired with another device) and get the same result. I have been paired to both devices for years, so I know that pairing to 2 devices works, but my tablet just won't seem to connect.

Both my tablet and cell phone are Samsung products.

Any suggestions?

Hi 2479573. I received my new Instinct watch today and it won't pair to my Android tablet like my Vivoactive3. I called customer service and they advised that there is a known problem with Android software on some Android devices. And it's across all Garmin watch products. (And I think it's primarily with tablets vs cell phones). The Instinct will pair with my Android cell phone. After I updated my Vivoactive3, it also paired to my cell phone. But neither will pair to my Android tablet. They said that a fix was coming through on the next Garmin Connect software update, which should be imminent. They put me on a email update list, so that I receive an email advising of the date of the next update when it happens. Until then, pairing won't work with the tablet.
