Garmin Vivoactive 5 not registering any stairs

My new garmin does not register any stairs at all. I work in an office up 2 flights so go up and down numberous times a day but always registers 0

    Didn't I read that the VA5 doesn't have a barometric sensor? If so, I don't see how it could calculate floors climbed indoors. In reality, that measurement could be very flaky especially when outdoors so I'm not really surprised they removed it.
