Garmin Vivoactive 3 Battery Life while Tracking an Activity

Hi,  I wonder if my Garmin Vivoactive 3 Battery is still healthy. It drains about %12 per day (so maybe 200 hours or 7 to 8 days with letting it idle). The bigger concern is what is the maximum time limit that it can track an activity. I was on a hike that lasted 5:12:46, and the battery was pretty much dead then. I had to save the activity early for fear of losing the recording. I was in a more remote area, so maybe the GPS took more energy to track the activity (https://www.strava.com/activities/9933967061).

If I am interested in longer hikes and runs that are 5+ hours, should my Garmin Vivoactive 3 Battery hold?

I recently got the Vivoactive 5, which I hope will help with taking longer recordings. What do Triathletes and Ultra runners use to track their longer activities?

Anyway, thanks for listening and responding—if you do!
