End of life

I bought my watch in December 2016 and I have found that since the last software update the recorded heartrate is very low. Just wondering if this is more likely the software or the hardware (the sensor).

  • Not sure what you are experiencing. The wrist measurements by using light sensors is always a bit unreliable, so if you got a tan or grew some extra wrist hair it might influence the readings. Also, when the veins are less expanding due to exercise the mileage varies. There can in short be multiple factors influencing the measurement, very hard to say without more context. The software seems to be doing fine though, so  I would expect if it is mechanical to be the sensor, maybe if you clean it with alcohol it could improve (perhaps you used some lotion that fogged it ?).

Are you sure about that? The release date for the vivoactive 3 was August 2017. Maybe the vivoactive HR, which was February 2016.
