Rash on both wrists

I've been using my Vivoactive 3 for over a year without any problems but recently I've developed a rash. I stopped using it on my left wrist, and changed it to my right one, only to find out the same problem.

It's a shame as I loved my watch and now its in a drawer, afraid to wear it. Bummer, I see a lot of people developing serious rashes with these devices. And yes, I disinfected it and cleaned thoroughly, as well as waiting for the skin to heal to wear it again, with no luck. It's the first time in my life a developed a rash...

Any other suggestions?

  • Try putting a cover on the charging port. They sell them on Amazon in a ten pack. I had the same issue until I tried that. You’ll need to see wait until your wrist is healed then put it back on. It’s a sensitivity to the metal in the charging port.

  • I'm sorry, I forgot to mention it's at the bracelet, not the charging port nor the metal part. I guess I developed an allergy to the silicone bracelet, and now I have an useless watch. But I really appreciate your suggestion.

  • Garmin replaced my strap for free after I along with quite a few others had what you described. Call Garmin support. My watch was long out of warrantee. Search out this forum for other threads about this. Many of them are listed in the "Related" section on the right of this thread.

  • You will need to reach out to us directly at support.garmin.com. We will need to gather information from you that we would not ask for in a public forum. These complaints are taken seriously and we will work to find the most suitable solution as quickly as possible.
