Low battery warning

I got this not long after they came out (late 2017) so it’s about 5½ years old. What I’ve noticed for the last few months is that it has a weird glitch with the low battery warning.
Standard seemed to be that the low battery warning came on at around 9%. I guess it got triggered at 10%

It’s changed.

It doesn’t happen every time I go for a run, but I tend to keep it charged and my runs are usually 30-40 min. However if I’m out for longer, say an hour plus, that’s when I get the issue.

I notice because I try to keep my heart within a certain range, so I pretty regularly glance at the screen. The warning is appearing a lot earlier. I believe it’s being triggered in the area of 40%. Now I can press the button to remove the warning and see the screen behind… but that’s kinda not the point.

I was thinking about upgrading, but why? It’s not like the battery is knackered, it’s just the monitoring of the battery level.

Now I can’t see any setting that could have been altered, which a bit of research seems to verify (?)

Anyone else had/got this issue and is there any fix?
